Ten tips when starting a new company
When starting your company these are the ten pieces of advice I would give you, they are as follows:
1) Know your market (do your research).
2) Complete a competitor analysis
3) Understand what your USPs (unique selling points) are.
3) Clients you don’t expect to bring to your new company will come; the ones you expect to won’t.
4) People around your company shape your company’s future – employ the right personnel.
5) When you’re having a bad day, remember all the money you earn is for your own company and not another MD’s bank balance.
5) Ensure your branding is the same across your whole company.
6) Everyone is singing off the same hymn sheet.
7) Set clear obtainable goals and have a clear business plan (a minimum of three years).
8) Don’t be afraid to ask people in your industry and people you respect for advice.
9) No quick fixes, only long-term gains.
10) Sell your company at every opportunity!
Enjoy your new journey and have fun!
Good luck and smash it!
