 How do Recruiters work?

We have been operating for nearly five years within the teaching recruitment sector. Moreover, we can give you an exclusive insight into the inner workings of the recruitment world here in China.

There are two recruitment models when recruiting personnel for the Chinese market:

One-off fee v Fix-term contract with an agency

Ignite prefer the one-off fee business model. The benefits for the teachers we place are as follows:

  • Teachers have more of a sense of belongings
  • The wage scale is a parable with their colleagues
  • The holidays on offer are the same
  • Fringe benefits are the same
  • End of contract bonus
  • And many more…

Recruitment fees vary depending on both the client and the type of positions we recruit for:

Fees can range from (subject to change):

¥12,000 – ¥30,000 for teachers

¥30,000 – ¥50,000 for management

¥50,000 – and above for senior management/director level

Reputable agencies offer a 3-month guarantee to all their clients for all placements (including Ignite).

There is also a temporary/contract system.

We have trusted partners if you prefer to work this way.

Advantages:

  • Change school/establish if you don’t like your original destination
  • More flexibility when booking time off
  • Free apartment with most positions

Disadvantages:

  • Lower salary
  • Poor holidays
  • No sense of belonging at your establishment of work
  • Problem with late payment
  • Many more…
